2009-2010 winter boot trends

You may feel dazzling when purchasing various ugg boots. Booties, ankle boots and knee-high boots are all hot, but which one should you buy? This is really hard to decide. Here are some of the hottest trends to look for, and when you're done with that, be sure to check out some tips before buying a ugg, such as Ugg Boots color choice tips, Keep your ugg clean etc.

Slouch Boots: Though they're not quite as prevalent as they were a few years ago, slouch boots are making their way back onto the scene. In addition to the flat, casual slouch boots you probably have buried in your closet, this time around, there are plenty of dressier styles to choose from as well.

Buckled, Belted Winter Boots: In addition to the straps, belts and buckles that can be found on many of the styles listed above, belted and buckled boots have become a trend in their own right. Belts, laces, ties, wraps and other strappy things on everything from urban styles with flat heels, to ultra-feminine high heel stunners.

Flat Winter Boots: Of course you'd never look for snow boots with heels, but this season's trend towards flats and low heels means you can skip them on your winter fashion boots as well. I especially love tall dress boots with really low heels -- they're great for pairing with skirts when you have to do a lot of walking.

Over-the-Knee Boots: Thigh high boots, over-the-knee boots, ultra-tall boots ... whatever you want to call them, boots with really tall shafts are extremely hot this season, and they can be found with low or high heels. Easy to wear, and very versatile, thigh high boots look great with skirts and dresses, or with jeans tucked into them.
